❤️In love with life, motherhood, family, kids, and my mission
My name is Carla and I am a fully qualified Birthlight and STA infant aquatics teacher. In 2005, I trained with a swim school in Cambridge which was ran by Sally Lomas and Amanda Gawthrope. I also worked at Birthlight’s headquarters in admin for a while too. Having taught babies to swim over many years, including my own daughter, I have become increasingly aware of the benefits for newborn babies of learning water confidence from a very young age and the parent and baby bonding that results from being in water. Our aim is to bring parent and baby together through our swim splash classes in a safe, friendly and fun environment that best suits the needs of everyone involved.
Tam-Tamz is an academy offering music, dance and yoga activities for young children from birth to six years old. Musical awakening, dance, Zumbini® and baby yoga are some of the classes available for you and your child to share together. It is a unique moment of coming together with your child and bonding through music and movement.
Created in 2009 under the original name of Samba Babies, Tammy has continued to grow the musical classes and expand further to create more opportunities for parent/baby classes including baby yoga, baby massage and more recently Zumbini®.
« Moving around the world has enabled me to take influences from
several different cultures and to grow samba babies from a simple
music for babies class to a deeper and more enriching experience
between parent/carer and baby. » – Tammy
I pioneered Pregnancy Yoga in Belfast and Lisburn, Northern Ireland from 2003.Supporting women and babies at the beginning of life’s adventure together is at the heart of the Yoga that I teach. For full information of what types of Yoga and Baby Massage I teach online and in venues, please check out my website. Namaste.
My name is Karen Wilson and I have been studying and practising yoga for over 10 years here and in America.
My training is recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga, Yoga Alliance and the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). I am also fully insured.
My classes incorporate the philosophy of hatha yoga with the asana (postural work) and prananyama (breath control). I teach mixed ability classes, private on-to-one yoga, pregnancy, postnatal, baby yoga and baby massage. (Please check out these pages for more details.)
I started practising in Chicago as a means of meeting people whilst I was on assignment with my job. On my return to the UK I continued my practice, attending various classes whilst continuing my corporate job. In 2009 I decided to re-order my life and combine my passion for yoga with the desire for a ‘career’. I left my 9-5 job and started my teaching diploma. I started teaching my first class a year into my course – 10 years on and I haven’t looked back once!
I have been undertaking professional development in yoga for cancer (those undergoing treatment, post surgery and carer support), long covid and chronic fatigue syndrome as well as additional studies in menstrual cycle awareness and knee rehabilitation.
The last 10 years has seen a lot of change through my life, relocations, job changes, studying, pregnancy, motherhood and even the way in which I practise yoga. However yoga has been with me throughout both on and off the mat regardless of how small a time I can manage to fit in. The yoga philosophy has helped me come to understand and manage these changes and the time of my mat has helped me to hold onto something concrete whilst also understanding that even my yoga practise has to adapt with life.
Through the use of gentle techniques babies and toddlers at Giggle’N’Splash take their first splashes towards becoming independent little swimmers. Water allows for the closeness of skin-to-skin contact , encouraging a strong bond between adult and child. All of this is carried out in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere under the careful guidance of our fully qualified Baby Aquatics Teachers! Lessons are progressive in order to gradually build skills and water confidence, however each child is unique and is encouraged to progress at their own pace.

Toddler Yoga
Fun and stimulating “Yoga Inspired” activity for the child and their adult.
Adult and child participate with one another exploring Yoga shapes & moves, mindfulness & breath-work through fun themes, music, games and often relaxing storytelling at the end of the class.
Baby yoga classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am.
I also teach pregnancy yoga, please email me to book.
Baby yoga is great for your baby’s physical, neurological and social development. We gently assist their movement to harness their natural reflexes and curiosity, we also include some baby massage. Baby yoga is great for soothing babies, releasing frustration and helping with mood and sleep.
Part of the class will be postnatal yoga (adapted for dads/carers). We strengthen pelvic floor and gently build core strength, release tight muscles and learn simple breathing practices for relaxation.
It’s a lovely way to bond and move together with your baby at the same time as meeting local mums / parents.
If you find you want to rest or feed for most of the class that is absolutely welcome.
“My baby loves Georgia’s classes – even on days when she is overtired, as soon as the class starts she is all smiles and giggles. The yoga classes are definitely her happy place!” – Jennie
Psychologist, perinatal and postnatal yoga instructor. Face yoga instructor: online groups . Dance-Movement psychologist. Individual counselling + yoga classes for pregnant women in Moscow and online.
I started my practice in 2008 while travelling in India. Hatha yoga classes were my first experience. The more I practised the more I realised the needs not only of my body but the whole thing which is called “I am”. After came pregnancy – one, then another and I became completely sure about the fact that I am a woman. And my practice started slowly to change from static strict forms to smooth slow movements. I started to pay more attention to the feelings, emotions which come and go throughout the practice and I became more attentive to the sensations. I was fascinated by Birthlight approach in helping women preserve health, become strong and feminine altogether.
Postnatal Yoga
Nurturing postnatal yoga class with the chance to incorporate the babies into the practice. Great opportunity to relax, recuperate, regain strength and meet other mums while your baby relaxes with you in a safe environment. Postnatal Yoga benefits include: Core stability (pelvic floor, abdominals, gluteus and back muscles); Realign and maintain suppleness in the spine; Tone deep muscles to ‘close the body’ after pregnancy and birth; Relieve stiffness; promote relaxation through breath’s expansion; detox the system improving blood flow; boost mood and confidence
