Description
Learn to teach Postnatal Yoga from early after birth through the first year
This course is for those who recognise this pivotal time deserves special attention and specific yoga practices. Covering progressive yoga practices for the early postpartum all the way through the postnatal year and how to integrate postnatal women safely into a regular yoga class. Birthlight practices acknowledge the fact that a good postnatal recovery, whatever the birth experience, contributes significantly to each mother’s long term health and well-being and to her ability to bond deeply with her baby over time.
- – understand the physiology of the postpartum and what best supports recovery after birth with specially adapted yoga.
- – offer Postnatal classes in a range of formats, 1:1, group, with or without babies, as preparation for the 4th trimester, postnatal workshops and pamper days, or incorporate postnatal yoga into your baby massage or baby yoga classes.
- – develop the skills and confidence to give appropriate practices to women in different phases of recovery, with different yoga experience, and with different postnatal symptoms
- – how to incorporate babies into the session, without massage or baby yoga, so they don’t feel ignored and mums feel they can still do something for themselves.
- – continue classes with women from your prenatal classes who already know you.
