Description
Baby Massage is most appropriate to start before Baby Yoga when babies are younger and it makes a great accompaniment to early Postnatal Yoga too. Not forgetting Dads, co-parents & carers ~ Baby Massage is not just for Mums.
Baby Massage is a holistic practice that is known for supporting babies’ weight gain and it provides is a gentle sensory experience for babies that can relieve digestive discomfort.
There is also research pointing to the benefit that baby massage can improve new mum’s mood and support the bonding process for secure attachment even when mums may have postnatal depression.
Of course it is not just for mums to enjoy baby massage. Dads and co-parents can learn nurturing baby massage for an equally mutually beneficial experience. Some simple tension releasing practices are included for the adults along with some basic postnatal poses for new mums.
Relaxation with babies at the end of the session helps parents practice this important skill that can help replenish them in the early months of newborn care. Baby Massage allows you to work with families earlier after birth as massage is most appropriate to very young babies and is the perfect precursor to Baby Yoga.

“I’m absolutely loving teaching baby massage. My classes are busy and all the women and babies love the classes. The room usually feels awash with oxytocin. I’m also loving massaging my children too. Both my 3 and 12 year old love having a massage now and it is becoming such a useful parenting tool when they are feeling vulnerable and like they need to connect but aren’t sure how to with words…so my deep thanks for that.”
