
Vera has been practicing yoga since 1992 and teaching from 2004. She holds teaching diplomas from British Wheel of Yoga, Birthlight, Yoga Therapy Diploma (YC) and children teaching training from Special Yoga Centre. Vera has extensive training in meditation and mindfulness practices. She also trained as a Doula with Dr Michel Odent.
Vera’s primary focus now is on developing holistic therapeutic approach that supports each woman on her unique journey (issues with female health, postnatal recovery, pregnancy, fertility, menopause) with the use of yoga and other complimentary practices that she picked up along the way.
Vera teaches regular group classes on Mondays in online format (well-woman yoga, postpartum, fertility and pregnancy) as well as having 1-2-1 yoga therapy with clients (both online and face to face in her clinic) who require a developed of more specific programme that can address their specific concerns.
Baby yoga (and baby massage) classes are run in Hailsham and other areas in East Sussex (also on Zoom). Suitable from a few weeks old to crawling. Enjoy songs, stretches, gentle toning and relaxation for your baby and you and meet others. Classes are friendly, informal, inclusive and offer variations for each move for the baby according to his/her age, development stage and personality. Each term there is a different theme with different songs and the opportunity for fancy dress for the final week. Gentle post natal exercises are included for mothers including care for the pelvic floor and if you have diastasis recti. Props such as baby yoga balls and sensory scarves add to the fun. All classes are very baby friendly and parents dip in and out of the class to feed, cuddle etc. If you miss a week, I send you a recording. A yoga pack is included with lots of exercises, songs and post natal breathing in. Home made cakes are provided for the final week!

Pregnancy yoga in Seaford and surrounding areas in East Sussex is suitable for everyone from 14 weeks up to birth. Classes are friendly, informal and provide a wonderful way to remove aches and pains, create more space for your growing bump, care for your posture, encourage baby into the optimal fetal position for birth, learn calming breathing techniques for pregnancy, birth and beyond, feel positive, bond with your bump, prepare for the birth, relax and meet others. Moves are adapted when needed for example for pelvic girdle pain. Classes are run in 5 week blocks on Tuesdays in Seaford and people tend to keep coming until they have their baby. If you miss a week, a recording can be sent. No experience is required before attending.
Baby yoga courses are run every half term in Seaford,East Sussex and surrounding areas. Suitable for all babies from around 8 weeks up to crawling. People often say this is the most beneficial and enjoyable and fun course they do with their baby. You both get to enjoy memorable songs whilst stretching and relaxing. Sensory aids such as baby yoga balls and colourful scarves to encourage movement. Fantastic to encourage movement, fine and gross motorskills, healthy brain development with brain gym movements, moves to help digestion and joint relaxation at the end with sensory lights. Parents get to remove post natal aches and pains with restorative post natal recovery exercises. Photos and home-made cakes at the final week. Very baby friendly and parents dip in and out to feed, cuddle and have the option to use baby yoga dolls should their baby sleep. Yoga packs provided and a recording sent if you miss a week. Baby massage classes also offered in Seaford and Newhaven.

Réka is a perinatal consultant with over two decades of experience in childbirth education, pregnancy yoga, birth attendance as a doula, and counselling. She offers prenatal consultations. Somatic Focusing for Birth is to help stay aware, focused, present and at ease during this special time, and later on in labour so that you can draw on your natural instincts easily and trust your inner resources.
Réka started practicing yoga at the age of 16 in the Maheshwarananda tradition. After her PhD studies at Oxford University and the birth of her 3 children she initially trained with Dr. Francoise Freedman in 2003 (level 1, London) then in 2005 (level 2, Budapest). Since 2003 Réka has taught pregnancy yoga continuously. In these 20 years, working with literally thousands of expectant mums, she has been passionate about helping them find trust, balance and love in their bodies – especially during pregnancy, at birth and in the postnatal period.
She lives in Chipping Norton, close to Oxford.
I run small prenatal and postnatal recovery classes from my studio in Wye near Ashford in Kent. I am currently running online prenatal and postnatal classes but am hoping to also resume studio classes very soon.
