Réka started practicing yoga at the age of 16 in the Maheshwarananda tradition. After her PhD studies at Oxford University and the birth of her 3 children she initially trained with Dr. Francoise Freedman in 2003 (level 1, London) then in 2005 (level 2, Budapest). Since 2003 Réka has taught pregnancy yoga continuously. In these 20 years, working with literally thousands of expectant mums, she has been passionate about helping them find trust, balance and love in their bodies – especially during pregnancy, at birth and in the postnatal period.
She is also a qualified doula, perinatal consultant, birth class educator, certified to teach yoga and ayurveda. She has taught one of the most popular birth preparation classes (in Hungary), and has attended births as a doula both at home and in hospitals. In the meantime, She has also taught womb-centred (well-woman) yoga and ayurveda practices for women of all ages.
In 2020 she returned to the UK to continue teaching in Chipping Norton, close to Oxford.
