I teach Pregnancy yoga and Mother & Baby yoga in the surroundings of Puumala, Finland. Most of my classes are held in Mikkeli. Also Online classes.
Hello! I’m Jane, and I’m passionate about supporting pregnancy and the journey that follows. Additionally, I am a qualified educator with a master’s degree in Intercultural Teacher Education.
I provide prenatal and postnatal classes that cater to the unique needs of you and your baby.
Classes are available in both English and Estonian.
We practise gentle yoga movements (including adaptations and modifications of classical yoga poses), breathing techniques and relaxation. The class is primarily for the mother, but is done alongside – and sometimes with – your baby. Classes are progressive and have been developed to support and aid postnatal recovery in the year after birth. They also encourage community and connection, and offer practices that can be weaved into daily life, promoting an holistic approach to baby care and parenting. Term time only. Classes must be pre-booked.
I am also an accredited La Leche League (LLL) Breastfeeding Counsellor, and run the support group LLL Shetland.

I run 6 week blocks of Birthlight baby yoga classes at the Bught Park venue. The classes are on Tuesday mornings at 10-11am and generally run with the school terms. Yoga, Ayurveda & Abdominal Therapy
In my practice, I work with a unique combination of Birthlight Yoga, Ayurveda & Abdominal Therapy. Yoga & Ayurveda are two sister sciences that originated in ancient India, Abdominal Therapy has its origins in the wisdom of Don Elijio, a Mayan shaman from Belize. Originated in other times and cultures and also applicable and effective in the modern world. This powerful combination helps restore inner balance in body and mind through the use of nutrition, lifestyle, treatments, yoga and (medicinal) herbs.
I work with complaints around digestion, menstruation and menopause and help you become more aware of your belly and pelvic area. You are welcome for a personal consultation in which I look with you at what diet, lifestyle, and/or support with yoga, massage treatments and herbs will help you maintain or regain your balance.
I have been running Yoga with Babies classes since 1997, incorporating Birthlight Baby Yoga from 2002. I currently run the following Yoga with Babies classes at the Pregnancy and Parents Centre, Edinburgh:
Postnatal Yoga with Babies – with babies under 5 months
Yoga with Babies – with babies from around 5 months to mobile
Yoga with Mobile Babies

I studied yoga for pregnant women and wrote a diploma while I was pregnant myself, and I know, I feel, I remember what pregnancy yoga is for a woman and how much comfort, care, protection and tranquility is needed during this period.
I have been practising yoga for 17 years and teaching it for 11.
We can carefully walk this path together.
I have been practising yoga for 30 years and teaching it for 22. Specialising in Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga for last 20 years, I have taught regular classes at my local studio, Gracelands Yard, for more than 10 of those years. This has allowed me the joy of helping many women through their pregnancy and the privilege of meeting their babies when they return to my post natal class. We offer a friendly and welcoming environment and this encourages many women to return for subsequent pregnancies and post natal healing.
No experience is required and all are welcome.I am an experienced Pregnancy & Post Natal Yoga teacher and I teach Children, Teens, Senior clients and people with Dementia. I have worked post operatively with clients and used restorative yoga postures to support a return to health. This experience, alongside using yoga to relieve Stress, Anxiety and Depression, has lead me to an understand the importance of treating the whole person.
As well as my core training in Dynamic Yoga, I have studied with Birthlight, The Teen Yoga Foundation and The Special Yoga Centre, and have continued my studies with Sandra Sabatini, Jo Kemp (Way of Soma), The Minded Institute & Jivamukti. I have learnt so much from practising Dynamic, Iyengar and Jivamukti Yoga. Many years working for Sure Start, the Monroe Charity, Yogahome, The Special Yoga Centre and Brent council, as well as more than 10 years at my local studio, have given me the hands on experience of how people learn and heal.

Baby Yoga
The gentle movements, focus on your baby and will aid circulation and digestion as well as support muscle tone, coordination, and the development of your baby’s body awareness. Baby Yoga also includes the opportunity to explore movement together and plenty of time to engage and be present with your baby.
Baby Massage
Baby massage allows you to enjoy special, focussed, one-to-one time with your baby in a relaxing environment. There are numerous benefits to massage too as the strokes will stimulate all of your baby’s major body systems and support with relief from constipation or teething as well as your baby’s relaxation as the massage supports the release of calming oxytocin. Only you will massage your baby and the strokes will cover baby’s legs, arms, tummy, chest, face and back.
Toddler Yoga
Yoga-inspired poses, stretches and movements, weaved amongst songs, rhymes and stories, create an inspiring, fun and engaging class for toddlers. Weekly themes keep little ones interested, whilst the classes also introduce your toddler to concepts of relaxation, breathing and gratitude.
